Cheesy Leek Pasty

Cheesy Leek Pasty

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 leek, finely chopped
  • 50g cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 bottle Renastep™
  • 170g puff pastry

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C/Gas mark 4

  2. Melt the butter in a pan and add in the chopped leeks. Allow to cook until soft and remove from the pan and set aside.

  3. To the same pan add the cheese and Renastep, gently warm the mixture until the cheese has melted into a sauce,
    keep this at a low heat to avoid boiling the mixture.

  4. Stir the leeks back through the mixture and allow to cool.

  5. Divide the sheet of pastry in half and spoon one half of the mixture onto each half of the pastry sheet.

  6. Fold the pastry over and crimp around the mixture to ensure it does not leak.

  7. Place onto a baking tray and bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

  8. Serve and enjoy!
