Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Place kale into boiling water for 1 minute. Then remove from bowl and thoroughly dry.
Finely chop kale and combine with feta and cottage cheese in a bowl and set aside.
Place two sheets of filo pastry onto your baking sheet, brush both with butter then place another 2 sheets on top.
Place the cheese and kale mix onto the pastry and spread out evenly across the baking tray.
Layer the remaining sheets of filo on top ensuring to butter between layers.
Brush the top layer with egg and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from oven slice into portions and enjoy!
